The outstanding benefit of the Supalite tiled conservatory roof is it’s ability to retain heat in the winter and stop the effect of solar heat gain in the summer. The average conservatory with a glass roof has a U-value (the ability to retain heat) of 2.9 while the Supalite tiled roof has a U-value of 0.18, better than most houses. Other than the advantage of being able to control the heat in your conservatory with ease there is a dramatic saving on heating bills.

The roof lantern is glazed with the top of the range toughened glass, which reduces heat gain and has excellent heat retention properties. An added benefit you could chose is an electric roof vent in the lantern to create good ventilation.

Tile Choice

Metrotile -this tile is forged using grade 3 steel, the highest grade available in the steel roof industry.Low carbon levels allow the steel to flow evenly when being manufactured thus a durable metal while greatly reducing the risk of fracture. A combination of aluminium and zinc (Aluzinc) forms a stable barrier which offers superior corrosion resistance, unmatched in the steel roof industry.

Tapcoslate – this tile offers the traditional and much sort after natural slate appearance. Tapcoslate does not delaminate or break like natural slate and through innovative design enhances the performance of the roof. This product emulates slate like no other as it is cast in molds shaped by using real slate that highlights the peaks, curves and plateaus of the natural product.UV stabilization and the colour-through process ensure the traditional colours will stay true.

Unless you are a very skilled handyman, these finishes should probable by carried out by a qualified tradesman. Note: we do not supply any of the internal finishing products. We do supply large roof vents that pivot through 180 degrees so you can clean the external pane without climbing on the roof. We can also supply the fascias, soffits and gutters in a colour to match your existing PVC frames.
